The Samyang 50mm T1.5 AS UMC is a manual focus lens designed for full frame 35mm image sensors. It has been carefully designed for professional film & video work. A focus gear ring is installed to work with most follow focus systems. The manual uncoupled iris/aperture ring allows you to change exposure quietly & smoothly. Also, distance scale & T numbers are marked on both sides of the lens for convenience.
There are 8 aperture blades designed to be almost as a full circle when aperture is closed. The construction of the lens is compact & solid since it is made of high-strength aluminium alloy. Also a detachable petal-shaped lens hood minimizes flare & ghosting.
