The RODE NTG5 is a short, ultra-lightweight shotgun microphone ideal for use in the most demanding recording applications. Featuring a revolutionary acoustic design with circular ports replacing the linear slots found in other shotgun mics, it offers unmatched transparency & a more natural, uncoloured sound. Combined with a tightly controlled frequency response, smooth off-axis response, & very low self-noise (just 10dBA), the NTG5 sounds spectacular in a wide variety of applications, particularly location recording & demanding filmmaking scenarios where superlative audio is the imperative.

The NTG5 is a boom operator’s dream, weighing a mere 76g & measuring just over 20cm, making it ideal for use on long, demanding shoots. It features RF-bias circuitry to ensure reliable performance in adverse environments, with excellent resistance to high humidity, severe cold, damp, & dust. & it comes with a WS10 deluxe windshield, PG2-R pistol grip, & other accessories.

How does Hire work?

Our hiring process is easy! Please follow the steps below.

Step 1:Explore the options then add your gear to the Hire Bag. If what you’re after is not listed please add it in comments or simply Contact Us.

Step 2:View your Hire Bag & select the date & duration of the hire including the desired collection time.

Step 3:Once you're done review your Hire Bag & add any special requirements in the Message field.

Step 4:Submit to Request a Quote. You'll receive a copy of your request.

Step 5:Urban Cine will follow up with questions &/or send a formal quote.

Step 6:Insurance & ID: To ensure both the Hirer & Urban Cine are protected; a 4% insurance levy is applied. 100 points of ID is to be presented for new customers. You will receive a New Customer Form to complete.

Step 7:Payment: For new customers payment is required prior or on collection. If you have a history with Urban Cine a credit account may offered.

Step 8:Using Equipment: It’s fair & reasonable to expect the hirer has the skillset to use equipment in a respectful & professional manner.

Step 9:Please report equipment failures & breakages. Feedback is important. If you’re experiencing issues with equipment on set please call asap. Often issues can be rectified over the phone.
