In 1861 Phillip Joshua LeCornu leased a small shop in North Adelaide to produce furniture. His business grew well over the years, & despite Adelaide's population in 1974 LeCornu's was classified the world's largest self-serve furniture warehouse/showroom. Today LeCornu is as big as ever but in 2011 a much needed freshen up was required which included many internal changes, a change of logo & a new corporate TVC.
Many archival family photographs were used in the 2011 TVC, & in one sequence you see imagery from a 1975 TV spot. This TVC was produced by legendary
South Australian Director/DoP Milton Ingerson OAM ACS. One version of the TVC was in fact a 2 minute cinema ad. These TVCs ran for a number of years.
It's fair to say that Milton Ingerson was 2011 TVC Director/DoP's mentor & friend. When Mark Evans was asked to produce the 2011 ad how could
he say no.
