A China Ball (also called a Chinese Paper Lantern) consists of a paper lantern, holder and a lamp socket. The frame of the Kupo China ball is constructed from quality 3/16’’ (5 mm) steel with chrome plated surface treatment. The frame is is interchangeable by removing the screw nuts so that a different size of lantern paper can be used. The rotatable steel ring makes it easy to control the output of light while the fabric is attached. The anti-kinking spiral top cable gland is also equipped to prevent the cable becoming loose when subject to vibration. The ceramic lamp socket is firmly fixed on the round metal plate to prevent the bulb from wobbling. Two 1/4’’-20 and two 3/8’’-16 threaded holes are pre-drilled underneath the round plate. These female threads provide a great mounting solution to any grip equipment with a 1/4’’-20 or 3/8’’-16 male thread.
